In an effort to improve this site, we invite you to participate in our first reader survey. The stories in here are little known stories that are engaging, funny, scary, interesting, twisted, sad... Among these, I would call attention to the study of the legend of Beth Gellert, the origin of which, I believe, I have settled. When I return from my trip, then we can begin the deconstruction and reconstruction of the tales. Mapping their evolutionary history can fill gaps in the literary record “by using information about the past that has been preserved through the mechanism of inheritance.” In biology, such mapping is part of phylogenetics, the study of evolutionary history and relationships among organisms.
